Lost In Dunkineely Tour
|
Two months and a half seems like a lot of time…if you’re waiting for your holidays to start… holidays… hahaha.. hoho..hum…right…no more time off for us. Evertjan is working up a sweat polishing up the website and his new set of pipes and thinking up new and wildly exiting tunes to drive the rest of the band insane. Siard our fiddle player has started a horse collection to supply his bow with new hair every week. Peter has applied for a grant from the government to pay for the amount of strings he’s going through. I’m poring over new songs and trying to remember the earlier songs and having a monumental case of autumn writers block. Also, I’m thinking about getting yoga lessons to control my breathing so I can play the flute without ending up hyperventilating profusely on the floor…er…anyway…
Tour Reports keep coming in about sold out shows and we’re sitting here wondering how all these people know about us. We haven’t played a single note yet and already some theaters have scheduled a second show for us to do. Of course, we’re flattered to bits but it’s putting on the pressure in a big way. The good thing about pressure though, is that it makes you work harder, play better and go faster.
Nerves aside, we’re all really looking forward to the tour and can’t wait to start. As of the last days of January we will be crossing the country from top to bottom and left to right, doing what we love to do and hopefully getting our fellow Dutchmen and women as exited about the music as we are. We might even see you there…
